Mundtot wurde Ende 2008 gegründet mit der Absicht etwas ungeschliffenes ehrliches zu schaffen. Etwas, dass versucht die Gedanken und Gefühle über das kranke assoziale Verhalten der Gesellschaft/Menschheit und die endlose Ohnmacht die diese Gedanken auslösen zu verarbeiten.
Es ist weder das Ziel, noch der Wunsch, als "Böse" oder "Hart" wahrgenommen zu werden. Keiner von "Mundtot" hat die Absicht kleine Mädchen mit seinen erfundenen Gruselgeschichten zu erschrecken. Für sowas gibt es tausend andere Bands, die sich den Schuh nur zu gerne anziehen lassen.
Mundtot versteht sich als Gesamtkunstwerk, das mit seiner Musik und seinem Auftritt versucht die Gedanken und Emotionen umzusetzen, die sich im grauen Alltag anstauen.
Elektronische Musik wird dabei als Stilmittel benutzt um die Entfremdung, die Digitalisierung und Monotonie unserer Zeit darzustellen.

Mundtot was formed in the end of 2008 with the intention to create something raw and pure. Something that processes the thoughts and feelings about the sick anti-social behaviour of society/mankind and the faint caused by this thoughts.
Its not the goal nor the wish to be recognized as "evil" or "hard". We don't want to scare little girls with our faked scary stories. There are thousands of other bands that already do that.
Mundtot takes itself as a synthesis of the arts, which tries to convert the thoughts and emotions of the daily grind into their music and appearance. Electronic music is therefore used as stylistic device to express the alienation, the digitalization and monotony of our time.
